Week Two: Meet Divya; Future Doctor, Beauty Enthusiast, Self-Care Queen

Caring for Others, Without Forgetting Herself

If you’ve ever tuned into one of our lives or scrolled through the comments on Instagram, chances are you’ve seen Divya. She’s been part of the Give Me family for a long time, and now, as she prepares to become a doctor, we finally got the chance to sit down and hear her story.

Divya’s life revolves around care. Whether she’s on a long shift at the hospital or studying late into the night, her days are packed with responsibility. Her future is bright, demanding, and deeply inspiring and like so many who spend their lives giving to others, finding space for herself can be tough.

What we loved most about our chat with Divya was her honesty. She spoke about the pressure, the exhaustion, and the quiet moments where it all catches up with you. And in the middle of all that, she reminded us of something so simple, but so important:Self-care isn’t optional, it’s essential.”

For Divya, those moments of self-care don’t have to be grand gestures. Sometimes, it’s five minutes with our Eye Patches, just to feel like herself again. Or reaching for our Brightening Eye Cream to soften the signs of another night spent helping others.

And let’s talk about her hair, the most vibrant, fiery red we’ve ever seen. To keep it looking and feeling its best, Divya switches between our Mango Range (hydration + heavenly scent = yes, please) and our Aloe Vera Range to help preserve that stunning colour. Her routine is simple, but effective. Which is just the way she needs it to be.

Divya represents everything we admire, strength, compassion, and the awareness that taking care of yourself is part of taking care of others.

She reminded us that self-care isn’t selfish. It’s what allows you to keep showing up, day after day, for the people who need you most.

Her story is a reminder to us all: you can’t pour from an empty cup, self-care is where strength begins.
